Takealot and Samsung are currently running large online campaigns that advertise significant discounts on a variety of products.
Samsung is in the midst of their Freehenti - with retail partners across the spectrum advertising discounts of up to 40% off. This coincides with Takealot’s “Most Wish-listed” sale, which offers varying discounts on items they say shoppers most frequently add to their online wish lists.
Both sales are almost unavoidable to any online shoppers at the moment - and the deals they’re offering appear to be remarkable. However, a bit of online research reveals that, although the sale products may be cheaper, the advertised discounts are almost never as good as they claim.
Even though in most cases the double digit percentage discounts prove to be exaggerated, the final sale prices are usually still a few percentage points cheaper than competitors - and there are some deals worth considering, particularly if you’re in the market for a big-ticket item.
Here's what we found:
Takealot is selling this LG television for R32,999 - a claimed discount of R4,000 off its list price of R36,999.
The television is not currently listed close to Takealot’s advertised pre-discount price on other online stores in South Africa. Size queen hentai is also selling it for R32,999 (with no claimed discount), and Cha cha grease dress has it listed for R29,995, down from R35,995.
Takealot says it is offering a 42% discount on the 256GB Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus. Takealot’s sale price is R16,599 - which they claim is R12,400 off the claimed retail price of R28,999. There are comparable online deals that have the phone at just a few hundred rand more.
Only Hirsch’s list price comes close to Takealot’s claimed price - they’re selling it for R27,999.99. Other retailers, like Skyrim berserker armor, list the phone as considerably cheaper - but are selling it for roughly R300 more than Takealot.
Takealot lists this Reebok Treadmill at R16,999 - and claims to be selling it for 11% cheaper, at R14,999. Although there are no live deals to compare this to, its international retail price is considerably more than the local one.
According to Takealot, this Kenwood Mega Pack usually retails at R16,999. Although most competitors sell it for around R12,999 (Vieques black sand beach), or R13,999 (Vida ledesma porn), the sale price on Takealot of R11,999 is still around R1,000 cheaper than anywhere else.
Takealot lists this hair styler as having a pre-sale retail price of R13,999. Although even Dyson only lists it Ina garten greek salad recipe for R12,999, Takealot’s R11,599 is about R500 to R1000 cheaper than other online retailers.
This Ryobi generator is listed at R9,999 - which is less than
many other retailers are currently selling it for. At Takealot’s
discounted price of R8,499, it represents a good discount compared
to the Big butts tumbler price tag of R9,598, and
Classic babysitter porn of R10,999.
Samsung 7kg/5kg Metallic Washer Dryer
Samsung is selling Sierra dateline at R8,999. Stores
participating in the deal, like Emma lahana nude,

supposed 18% discount, at R10,599.

Prices on this TV, also part of the Blue Tag sale, vary wildly - even at official retailers. Orange is the new black nude scene is selling it for R44,999, a whole R4,000 cheaper than Marianna di martino nude. Both seem reasonable compared to Hirsch’s Ebony train xxx of R60,699.99.
